Hi Steven,

I like FourSquare alot, but the trouble is that I don’t really see enough of my friends using it. I’m waiting for applications using the Fb API or even Facebook themselves do aggregate this data.

But if you want something to think about – Facebook have the most targeted advertising network I’ve ever seen, once you add location & mobile, who knows..Google could be a given a run for their money.

I am a #smallbiz guy and this is the next chance for the bold to get ahead of others. You hit it on the head- Tech= snooze. Word of Mouth of how much fun my friends had this weekend because they found a great place and had a great time will be the difference maker. Who are the players beyond Foursquare that I need to be watching and then helping clients with?
Will be increasing my blogs and filters on hyperlocal mobile..

Great post! I totally agree with your points and there’s already a number of examples of apps (iPhone / Android) that show why and how the element of location takes mobile to a whole new level!
